For everyone following along at home, you are familiar with the alien that came by to pump concrete into our forms. The alien was extremely helpful, but each pylon still required some final adjustment. Before the steel can be installed, each pylon supported connection point must be brought up to the proper elevation so that all the steel bits will line up for assembly. The observant followers have already asked about the bags of “construction grout” that could be seen resting on the foundation in a previous post. This grout was used to finely calibrate the height of the receiving plate at each connection point. The image below shows a calibrated connection point eagerly awaiting the connection of the load it was designed to support. How about that!
