A primary focus of Das Build is to ensure that water stays out of Georgetown’s new Volkswagen dealership. Therefore, significant effort was required to enable only the right kind of water to come in. There are two “right kinds of water” for Das Build, so two separate water connections were installed. One provides domestic water for drinking and washing, while the other supplies water to the sprinkler system in the event of an emergency. Oddly enough, the water we hope to never use required a significantly larger connection than the water we will use every day. Both connections had to be routed from the street, down the east side of the building, around to the back of the building, where they entered underneath the foundation at the back wall. The Das Build crew rose to this challenge, and both lines passed their respective pressure tests with ease. Well done!
