To date, the interior finishing of Das Build has generally followed a top down approach. This was the case with steel studs and it continued with door frames, plumbing vents, duct work and electrical wiring, all of which first appeared on the second floor before migrating to the first floor. The next big top down event has been the installation of drywall. Much of the second floor has had its drywall installed, which provides a clearer definition for the various rooms and spaces. It’s counterintuitive to experience how closing off an area with drywall can sometimes make the area feel larger than when it was wide open. Meanwhile on the first floor, the steel framing continues at a furious pace. Drywall installation cannot be far behind. Perhaps next week?
